What are Nutritional products?
Nutritional products include products, which either supplement the nutrition or provide part or all of the daily nutritional requirements. They include intravenous or oral nutrition that can provide all the nutrition. Nutritional products also include supplements for example, iron and other vitamins, minerals and electrolytes.
A product that is added to the diet. A nutritional supplement is taken by mouth and usually contains one or more dietary ingredients. Examples of dietary ingredients include vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, and enzymes.

- Proteins.
- Fats.
- Vitamins.
- Minerals.
- Dietary fibre.
- Water.
Common supplements include: Vitamins (such as multivitamins or individual vitamins like vitamin D and biotin). Minerals (such as calcium, magnesium, and iron). Botanicals or herbs (such as echinacea and ginger).
Nutritious foods are foods that are especially dense in one or more required nutrients, like eggs, fish, liver, avocado, green vegetables, beans, and legumes. An example of a poorly nutritious food is a piece of hard candy, which contains no nutrients other than some simple carbohydrates from sugar.
