Radiologic conjugating agents

What are Radiologic conjugating agents?

Radiological conjugating agents (RCA) are drugs or diagnostic agents that contain a radioactive substance and a conjugating agent.

When administered the conjugating agent and the attached radioactive substance specifically bind and accumulate in the target cells.

When used as a diagnostic agent the radioactive target cells can be detected for imaging purposes. As a cancer treatment, RCA causes cellular damage to the target cells due the emission from radioactive substance.

Conjugation is the change that takes place in a verb to express tense, mood, person and so on. In English, verbs change as they are used, most notably with different people (you, I, we) and different time (now, later, before). Conjugating verbs essentially means altering them into different forms to provide context.
